Direct Thermal Labels are a cost-effective solution for barcoding and label printing as they do not require a thermal ribbon. The chemical treating in the label allows the label to blacken when directly passing under the thermal print head making this type of label more cost effective in the short term, saving you down time in changing ribbons. Direct Thermal labels do not have the longevity of Thermal Transfer Labels but are perfect for applications such as shipping labels.
